The USS Yeager (NCC-61947) was a 24th century Federation Saber-class starship operated by Starfleet.
In 2373, the USS Yeager fought against the Borg in the Battle of Sector 001. (Star Trek: First Contact)
The Saber-class of Federation starship was first introduced in the late 24th century, and was in full service by 2373. The ship featured a design more compact than other Starfleet vessels, and was fairly well armed despite its small size; the class was also featured prominently in the Dominion War.
In the magazine, visual effects art director Alex Jaeger discusses the design of the Saber-class ship that first appeared in the movie Star Trek: First Contact.
The collection features a full range of Federation and alien vessels including seven incarnations of the Enterprise; all the major Klingon vessels including the Bird-of-Prey; Dominion; Borg; and Romulan ships and is slated to include about 80 ships in total
